April 9th - KAZOO! Print Expo!
Where: Central Public School (97 Dublin St. N, Guelph, ON)
What: The Kazoo! Print Expo is a celebration of independent Print Media in Guelph and surrounding area. Exhibitors will come to display and sell their works, including but not limited to posters, zines, comics, books, t-shirts, cards, stickers, buttons, art prints.
June 1st-31st - Untitled CAT ART SHOW!
Where: D-Beatstro (1292 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON)
When: The kind folks over at D-Beatstro were kind enough to let me put on another exhibition of cute and cuddly works depicting man's other best friend, the cat! The show will include prints, drawings, and paintings of these furry friends!!
June 16th-19th - Toronto Art Book Fair
Where: Artscape Youngplace (180 Shaw St., Toronto, ON)
What: TOABF is dedicated to increasing the visibility, dissemination, appreciation, and understanding of the artists’ book and its contemporary manifestations within the visual arts field in Toronto and abroad. Independent artistic print culture has a rich narrative in Canadian art history, and is an often overlooked aspect of Canadian cultural identity. The goal of TOABF is to highlight these personal and collective stories, and elevate the artistic integrity of artists’ books by presenting artists’ books, multiples, and printed matter by Canadian and international artists to a wide audience.
July 23rd-24th - BIG on Bloor Festival
Where: Bloor St. West between Lansdowne and Dufferin
When: Saturday 1pm-9pm, Sunday 12pm-6pm
What: BIG on Bloor Festival is one of Toronto’s best and most unique. BIG on Bloor is a two-day, car-free summer street celebration of arts, culture and small business. Now in its 8th year with up to 80,000 people attending on Saturday, July 23 from 1 p.m. until midnight and on Sunday, July 24 from noon until 6 p.m. in Bloordale, Bloor Street from Dufferin to Lansdowne.
